Cycles and Transits Using the Medici Solitaire as an Example

In the Medici Solitaire (MS), there are two chains – the chain of four suits and the chain of card ranks. The interaction of these chains allows us to "assemble" the solitaire. As previously written, MS is a particular case of DNA-Tonal chains. In MS, the cycles of events and transits are so clearly expressed that your comment about the complexity of this topic disheartened me. Let's consider an example:

So, you lived through the situation of the first cycle: troubles (6h) turned your expectations of a worthy reward (Qc) into a wasted effort (6c). The realization of this futile expectation served as a transit. The cycle closed (by rank), opening new possibilities for you. A period of good fortune (luck) in affairs (Jc) became a new transit. Qc was closed by 6c – you no longer await a reward, you've emerged from the pause and moved on. Then you enter a complex cycle: resentment from lack of recognition leads to illness (10s). This forces you to fear (8s) sad news (9c). A loyal friend (Kc) informs you of a possible treatment option. Everything depends on a stranger (8h), but futile efforts (Js) lead to unpleasant news from an official institution (7c).

Since you have this formula of events, you activate the next transit – Jd, meaning you decide to offer a bribe or make a monetary donation. This will immediately lead to the transformation of the cycle: 7c absorbs (closes off) Js, 8h absorbs Kc, 9c absorbs 8s, 10s absorbs Jc, and then with the absorbed Jc, it transitions to 6K. Then 8h with the absorbed Kc transitions to 9c, which absorbed 8s. You find yourself in a new cycle – 10s8h7cJd – meaning you will have to bribe someone to help you obtain medicine or directly cure an illness (here it's clearly yours, as the friend no longer appears in the spread). However, by giving money, you risk encountering deceit (Kd). And the act of giving a bribe itself causes much emotional and practical inconvenience (9d).

Nevertheless, these inconveniences are precisely the transit: you endured, you greased the wheels, and things started moving. Oops! You were indeed swindled: Kd transitioned to Jd. This caused sadness for a loved one (8c) and insults directed at you or at the charlatan-healer (Qd). These insults became the next transit and changed the situation: 8c absorbs 9d, Kd with the absorbed Jd transitions to 7c with the absorbed Js, and further to 8h with its absorbed chain of events. And then 8c absorbs all events under Kd. You have a simple situation – 10s8cQd – illness, a loved one's distress, and their "attack." It seems you messed up here, the money is gone, and you're left with an angry wife (or mother), with her unpleasant opinion of you.

An enemy appears (Ks), an opportunity to achieve your goal (Kh), someone's infidelity (7d), someone's gift (10d), and an argument (7s). The argument is a transit. It changes the situation: 10d absorbs 7d. The theme of infidelity is resolved. Next comes a declaration of love (9h) and the fulfillment of a wish (Qs). This fulfillment is a transit. The chain converges: 9h absorbs 7s (the argument can be forgotten), 10d with the absorbed 7d moves to Kh (and that's true, we did fulfill our wish, didn't we?), Ks absorbs Qd (temporarily making us forget the wife's attack), 8c with the absorbed bundle of events moves to 10s. We get the next cycle – 8cKs10d9hQs.

Next, life presents you with an addition – sad news (As) and joyful news (8d). You begin to hide your feelings (Qh), but your next wish does not come true (Ad). This fact is a transit. It changes the chain. Qh absorbs 8d (your feelings overshadow the joyful news), As absorbs Qs, then 9h. This leads to a new composition – 10d absorbs the enemy (Ks). Further, Qh with the absorbed 8d moves to As, and then to 10d. The situation has simplified: 8cQhAd.

A new transit appears – news of love or sympathy (10h): Ad absorbs Qh. Result: 8cAd10h. You lose a friend (9s), but you have the opportunity to acquire significant money (10c). Money is a transit (an equivalent of personal power): 9s absorbs 10h. Result: 8cAd9s10c. A new transit – 6s (unfortunate journey, emotional suffering): 10c absorbs the chain under 9s, Ad absorbs the chain of events under 8c. Result: Ad10c6s.

A new transit – Ac (a false step, a mistake): 6s absorbs the chain of events under 10c, and then absorbs the chain under Ad. It's simple: disappointments and a false step. "Sorrow has flooded the whole world! Woe is me!"

But then new events: A pleasant guest (Jh), with whom one should not trifle (7h), brings you pleasure and moments of joy (6d). He tells you that you are loved (Ah). You are soaring in the clouds, and meanwhile, 6d absorbs 7h and then Jh, Ac absorbs the bundle of events under 6s, and the events under 6d absorb it (the chain of events under Ac). The solitaire has been assembled; you are left with the core of the following events – 6dAh.

As you can see, I have simply described the structure of the solitaire here – cycles and transits. We have been describing the fallen chain.

I took the interpretations of the cards from a common fortune-telling book. There could be a million such interpretations. They are not the main point here. Remember how you buy clothes. You take the best available, then alter them to fit you, take them in, shorten them. It's the same with interpretations. Create your own system from those you consider best.

I also want to note that each time you complete a "solitaire of life" chain, a "resolution" of previous events or a solution to past problems will occur. Such are the wonders.
