Key to Dreaming

From the forum of Isle of Dreams:

Each time I enter a Dreaming by preserving consciousness while falling asleep, I notice that lately, to enter the Dreaming (to make the body fall asleep), I have subconsciously started using a certain key. This key has become that strange feeling in the spine and throughout the entire body, which arises precisely at the moment of falling asleep. Now, in most cases, I don't need to painfully wait for the body to fall asleep; as soon as it has sufficiently relaxed, I can apply that very key. I just need to recall it and, as it were, reproduce it, and then — the body falls asleep and I can "climb out" :)

Of course, I wouldn't say it's that simple, as sometimes I struggle for a long time without success; here, it's likely also important to bring one's state of consciousness into the right form.

Here, naturally, there is one significant drawback: to obtain this "key," one must at least a dozen times maintain consciousness while falling asleep, meticulously observing and remembering one's sensations.

Just recently, having already entered a Lucid Dream, I decided to apply this "key" once more... the effect was quite interesting: I suddenly lost my footing and was lifted to the center of the room. Moreover, there was a sensation as if my level of awareness had increased, though immediately after that, I was thrown back into reality...
