It's very simple: when you see a Sprite, it's pale, like in an old film. But when you see a dreamer, they are bright, alive. You immediately know that this is one of your own. You won't confuse them if you see a dreamer in a Lucid Dream even once. This is precisely why the category of "luminosity" was introduced. Awareness gives a person luminosity. The higher the awareness, the brighter the person. This, by the way, is true for reality too.
Well, and accordingly, if you meet a conscious dreamer in your Lucid Dream, then you won't be pondering such thoughts as whether it's them or not. This is such a rare occurrence – like meeting God on the street. It's unlikely you'd be asking if it's the right God or not. I advise not to miss such moments. Even if the encounter was with a semi-luminous (semi-aware) dreamer.
