Answers to Questions about Devising a System of Designations
Original Source ↗On the Number of Cards in a Suit
Q: What 10 nominal cards are we talking about if 6, 7, 8... King, Ace - results in only nine cards?
A: Agreed. Let's make it so there are 9 cards in a suit. But who limits you to the number of cards? For example, the previous group of hackers chose to work with 10 cards per suit. They didn't have the concept of "news" – they used the term "information." Iveta, in her examples, used a common interpretation of cards, which is unsuitable for us. We must devise a functional programming language, and "calculator terms" are not appropriate here.
If it makes it easier for you, I'll tell you in advance. One method of manipulating life lines is to substitute suits in spreads. Ponder the possibilities. This will lead you to the correct conclusions.
On "Displacement" and the Hearts Suit
Q: Then, for some reason, 'displacement' doesn't fit at all with the hearts suit — sympathies, antipathies, passions.
A: Displacement in sympathies? "You loved me, and then you forgot me, now you'll get what's coming to you for that!"
On the Example with Aces
Q: Then the given example with Aces doesn't help understanding at all.
A: It's one thing to snatch a wallet from a passerby, and quite another to find a banknote under a bush. It's one thing to pick up a girl at a dance, and quite another to meet the one you fell in love with at first sight.
On Abstracting from Everyday Logic
Q: Is it necessary to abstract away from the usual logic of everyday life?
A: No. It is necessary to introduce new elements into the usual logic of everyday life that will help you change this logic as you wish.
On Designing a Universal Interface Language
Q: I think it's not enough to simply look at how others have done it when developing a universal interface language. Although, by analogy with programming languages, operand names are given only for the sake of convenience of the human-machine interface. Perhaps convenience should be the starting point. After all, someone will have to decipher these programs later.
A: Regarding programming language, I agree with you. When creating it, consider two plans: the individual plan (i.e., you, your needs, and actions) and the social plan (persons, contacts, relationships).
On an Alternative Approach and Proposed Motivating Elements
Q: In principle, each link in any [Chains of Events] can be evaluated as 'preparation', 'action', 'evasion', etc. Moreover, each such evaluation can be inverted, turned into its opposite (just like I Ching). What do you think of this approach?
A: I like it. I also have a suggestion. Let's introduce motivating elements for the new programming language. So, who influences a person? Who comes into contact or conflict with them? Who motivates them to act and becomes the object of their efforts?
- A (Ace) - power. This can be any external force, element, confluence of circumstances, etc. That which influences us, compelling us to act. That to which we respond.
- K (King) - law, world-description. These are the norms that define the nature of our responses and actions. These are the laws that compel us to act in accordance with the world-description. This is "how it should be." This is "what you must or should do." This is the order, regime, circumstances, and limitations imposed upon us.
- P (Persona) - human, animal, mosquito. This is people collectively. An object that influences us and reacts to our influences.
- J (Jack) - our personal motives, desires, impulses, intentions that drive us to act. In accordance with them, we hope, resent, rejoice, grieve. This is the axis around which our actions revolve.
Next, I propose to introduce a spatial-temporal category: displacement-waiting. Traditionally, sixes are assigned to displacement. Well, as for waiting (loss of time, stabilization, fixation), fours can probably be assigned.
And a request: do not yet consider energetic phenomena - accumulation of personal power, illness, death, etc. We will assign a fifth suit to them. For now, let's proceed from the assumption that we are still alive and healthy.
Distinguishing A (Ace) from P (Persona)
Q: "P (Persona) - human, animal, mosquito. This is people collectively. An object that influences us and reacts to our influences." Will you yourself distinguish A (Ace) from P (Persona)?... or rather - will you find an Ace in a Queen?
Al: A and P will be active elements. However, if an object of class P can be forced to stop acting, it will be more difficult or impossible with A.
You can send your systems of designations. We will definitely consider them.
