Key to Dream Recall
Original Source ↗I discovered a REALLY working key to dream recall. Initially, I had no problems with recalling Dreams – usually, 5-6 Dreams would be remembered in detail immediately after waking. Then, when my parents left, and my routine somehow followed them, ;-) I started going to bed daily at 2-3 AM, and nobody shifted my work start time even by an hour. :-( Thus, I gradually began to notice with dismay that after habitually noting the date in my notebook, nothing else appeared there. The noise in my head and the frustration that not even the most recent Dream was recalled at all intensified with each passing day.
And one day, straining my mind, piecing together a Dream bit by bit, I was about to write down that I couldn't remember anything else, and then... It suddenly dawned on me to make a positive entry. So I simply wrote about the next Dream – RECALLED. I closed the notebook and went to have breakfast.
I hadn't even finished eating when suddenly, an image from the second Dream vividly appeared before my eyes. Just as I started sketching it, almost the entire third Dream immediately followed – I was stunned – a complete map with the layout of a vast number of railways stood before my eyes. And in the second Dream, I was precisely riding a train, looking down at the very top railway line from that map! While I was 'scribbling' it down, I even got late for work. :-)
From then on, it's simpler – while recording the first Dream, we try to sharply recall the second, and if nothing comes to mind, we immediately mentally assign it the status of BEING RECALLED and, as if nothing happened, continue recording the first. Usually, once the first is dealt with, the second or even several Dreams appear vividly and richly, as if by magic. If it still doesn't come to mind immediately – no panic, repeat or write down that the next is BEING RECALLED and calmly attend to other matters. It will appear nonetheless.
Actually, I'm curious to know – is this an observation over several days, or did it just happen today?
It has already been genuinely working for several days. Moreover, it gets easier day by day – the trick is that after setting the status to 'BEING RECALLED', I completely (fully) discard what I wanted to remember from my mind and immerse myself entirely in other activities.
