Wall of Fog
Original Source ↗Once, SI took me fishing. It was on a lake. We set out around five in the morning, when it was still dark. By the time SI reached his favorite spot, I could barely see the float beside the boat. But then it quickly grew light. I was incredibly lucky. The fish were biting, and I was completely engrossed in fishing. Then suddenly, SI said: look at the shore. I saw a Wall of Fog before me – right twenty to thirty meters away. It went upwards, and somewhere in the middle of the sky, it narrowed into a strip and took on the colors of the rainbow. The other end of the arc stretched towards the horizon. At first, I thought it was the beginning of a rainbow. And when SI suggested we enter the fog, I was simply overjoyed. To be in the center of a rainbow! How wonderful! But when we entered this fog, I felt terrible. I was overcome with sheer terror. I felt very ill, and vomiting began. Some energy was tearing out from within. Brrr! Shivering, cold sweat, and all the delights of an upset stomach. Then I saw an open space: some woods on the shore and black bushes. I shouted to SI to row there. But Sergey continued to steer the boat forward. Eventually, we reached the pier. I ran into the thickets of burdock and did everything my body demanded. And guess what? That lake had no shores with woods and black bushes! And to this day, I would still like to know what would have happened to us if we had turned into that clearing in the fog.
